Meet the latest intern at Mine and Yours, Kiera!
Able to think quick on my feet, I offer a trendy and knowledgeable approach to fashion styling.
Hey, I’m Kiera, I am so grateful to be the newest member interning at Mine and Yours. Styling is something I've always had a passion for. I am a determined fashion lover, from my everyday personal style choices to my social media presence. I am ambitious, which aspires me to work for an authentic and elite company that will allow me the opportunity to use my education from John Casablanca’s Institute and experiences to grow my career, as a fashion stylist and blogger. My personal fashion blog being something that I am always updating and staying current on trends with. Posting my own pictures, writing about my experiences and talking about what is important currently in the industry. That is what has brought me to Mine and Yours, instantly when I met with Jigme and Courtney I could tell that the store is exactly where I wanted to intern. The down to earth, fashion forward and Eco conscious business they are growing is something that I want to be apart of. Mine and Yours brings the Persian boutique experience to Vancouver, yet still with the laid back west coast Eco friendly resell aspects. As soon as you walk in the door you feel it, from stores layout to the eclectic collection of clothes, bags and shoes throughout the shop. I am lucky enough that they have given me the responsibility of creating blog post for their website as well as assisting in their Public Relations aspect of their business. The entrepreneurial vibes that come front the store and the staff members are electric, you really feel the passion everyone has for fashion and growing the business. What could be more fun then getting to write and photograph amazing designer clothing, with even better stories on where their previous owner has worn them.
Few of my favourite pieces in store currently being:
Isabel Marant for H&M Pants, as soon as I spotted the pair of metallic ornate pants I feel in love.
Swinging into suede this season, we are full blown into the suede trend this teal Coach wristlet will add the perfect a pop of colour to any outfit.
Being that I'm a sucker for all things graphic tees and Givenchy, I knew I this Spring/Summer 2012 sell out would have to be in my post.
Another trend emerging this season is cord, my thought on cord has slowly changed as I’ve seen it hit the runway and stores. This Burberry Brit Cord Pencil Skirt with leather detailing has fully changed my mind and has got me jealous on who ever buys this gem.
Last but not least these 3.1 Phillip Lim Black Loafer Wedges, changing the my view yet again, these make me wish my feet could fit the 36.5 size they are.
