Transitional Outfits for Spring 2018

Spring is coming upon us sooner than we expected! If you were in a rut for trying to figure out what to wear for this fast transition, we've got you covered with our top picks.

Here at Mine & Yours, we came up with 5 looks that will still keep you warm but pull you a bit further into the spring season.

This is for all you bold ladies out there who are not afraid of dipping into some bright colours. This super fun colour-blocked dress (Roksanda Green & Navy Dress, $225) is perfect for the first sunny day of spring. We paired this look with a mauve wool coat (Club Monaco Pink Wool Coat w Gold Buttons, $175) to add as a cool subdued featured to complement the dress but not over power it. It still makes the dress your main attraction.  For accessories we have this gorgeous blush pink clutch (Louis Vuitton Blush Pink Clutch), which brings out the pink in the dress and the coat perfectly. The final cherry on top for look is the nudey-pink Valentino tall thigh-high boots. You can definitely be stylish and comfortable this season! There’s no way you’re going to be cold this spring but you’ll definitely be making a statement with this look.

Pantone announced ultraviolet as the colour of the year for 2018 so here at Mine & Yours you know we are on top of that. But, we’re going to take it slow. This look is great for those who just want a pop of colour and want to stay safe with black.  If you are feeling a little extra, here we have this fun Versace sweatshirt ($225) with pops of pink and gold and black. I paired this with a cute pencil skirt to give the sweatshirt a dressier vibe. To match the skirt and add a little bit of texture, we added this Diane Von Furstenberg Wool Bomber with Rabbit Fur. We played up this outfit even more with these ultraviolet Christian Louboutin Beloved heels ($795), which has an amazing laser-cut and wavy heel detail and this Chanel pink Wallet to complement the sweatshirt. Overall this look would be amazing for casual night out to grab drinks with your friends this season.

Now if you aren’t all that crazy about colour, it’s a great time to break out some other neutrals for the transitional period. This is probably my favourite look so far which with is a neutral babe’s dream come true. Here we have a cool Maje black Suspender Dress ($175) with this trendy ring zipper detail along with this beautiful Sandro White Lace Top ($125) for a contemporary vibe. We here call it the “cool detective” look with the combination of this amazing Monsier Michel hat and this gorgeous Burberry light mauve trench coat. For this outfit we coordinated all of our accessories with tan shades that complement the black and white well. We matched our tan Chanel Shoulder Bag ($2995) with Rachel Comey Leather Mars Booties ($275) and you’re good to go for a day.

This is the perfect brunch outfit for the season, ladies. Here we can make you feel pretty in this Hugo Boss Pink Wrap Dress ($150) and this Wilfred Free Textured Cream Jacket ($125). With this outfit you cannot go wrong with a nude Classic Chanel Medium Double Flap ($4995) and these quirky Chloe Block heel pumps. This is a comfy spring look to take to you from work to a date with your friends so run don’t walk!

Our final look for you for this transitional period, we were totally inspired by Sophia Richie’s street style look where she sported a big colourful tweed coat with an all black outfit. So we made our outfit more season appropriate with a black Sandro dress with a lace trim ($275) with this big Isabel Marant Etoile Jacket ($350) which had a bold red and white plaid print. As we have probably seen a trend with all of these outfits so far, I love coordinating accessories so we couldn’t resist pairing these amazing red Gucci Slyvie leather pumps ($550) and this bright red Celine cross-body bag ($850).

So there you go, we hope you feel a lot more inspired and prepared to face this transition period to spring 2018 with us!
